Sharika Enterprises Supports DGVCL’s RDSS Feeder Automation Drive to Modernise Power Distribution in Gujarat

Sharika Enterprises has partnered with DGVCL under the RDSS to supply 11 kV feeder automation solutions, enhancing grid reliability, fault management and operational efficiency across Gujarat’s power distribution network.

Sharika Enterprises recently, has associated with a feeder automation initiative for Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company (DGVCL) under the Government of India’s Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), aimed at strengthening the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network.

Under the initiative, Sharika Enterprises is responsible for supplying 11 kV feeder automation equipment, including 11 kV sectionalisers, to enable automated fault detection, isolation and restoration across distribution feeders. The solutions are designed in line with DGVCL’s technical specifications and RDSS objectives focused on modernising India’s electricity distribution infrastructure.

Commenting on the development, Sanjay Verma, Executive Director, Sharika Enterprises, said, “Feeder automation plays a critical role in RDSS-led distribution modernisation. He added that the company’s involvement reflects its continued focus on delivering robust, utility-grade automation solutions that enable smarter and more agile power networks.

The deployment of these feeder automation systems is expected to improve grid visibility, reduce outage durations and enhance overall service reliability, helping utilities deliver a more resilient and responsive power supply to consumers.
