Sharika Enterprises, a power sector and smart infrastructure solution company, has secured a key subcontract for the deployment of an Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) under Uttarakhand Power Corporation's (UPCL) flagship Ganga Corridor power distribution modernisation project. The project is being executed under the Government of India's Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) through East India Udyog (EIUL), the lead contractor.

The project spans the important urban centres of Dehradun, Haridwar and Rishikesh, and is aimed at transforming the region's power distribution network through the implementation of an integrated SCADA-ADMS platform, combining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Distribution Management System (DMS), and Outage Management System (OMS) functionalities.

The award marks Sharika's strategic entry into India's rapidly expanding SCADA-ADMS market, a critical segment driving the digital transformation of the country's power distribution sector. Leveraging advanced grid automation and intelligent network management technologies, Sharika will contribute to building a smarter, more resilient, and highly responsive electricity distribution ecosystem.

The integrated solution is expected to provide utilities with real-time network visibility, intelligent monitoring and control, faster fault identification and restoration, enhanced outage management and improved operational efficiency. The project will also strengthen grid reliability, improve power quality, optimise asset utilisation and support data-driven decision-making for utility operators.

As Indian utilities accelerate investments in digital infrastructure and smart grids, SCADA-ADMS platforms are emerging as the backbone of next-generation distribution networks, enabling higher efficiency, reliability and consumer service standards.

Commenting on the development, Sanjay Verma, CEO, Sharika Enterprises, said, "This project represents a significant milestone for Sharika as we formally enter the SCADA-ADMS segment, one of the fastest-growing areas in India's power sector modernisation journey. The award reflects our growing capabilities in grid automation, digital utility solutions and smart infrastructure. We are committed to supporting utilities in building intelligent, resilient and future-ready distribution networks that align with India's energy transition and digital transformation goals."

Sharika acknowledged the support and confidence extended by East India Udyog (EIUL) and Spin Engenharia, Brazil, Sharika's technology partner in developing its indigenous ADMS platform under the Government of India's 'Make in India' initiative.

With increasing participation in utility automation, smart grids, communication networks, substation modernisation, renewable energy integration and advanced distribution technologies, Sharika continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in India's evolving energy infrastructure landscape.
