Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has received a work order worth approximately INR 71.25 crore (inclusive of GST) from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (MPUVNL) for the supply of 2,033 stand-alone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Madhya Pradesh.

The order has been awarded under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme, a flagship central government programme aimed at promoting solar-powered irrigation and reducing dependence on grid electricity and diesel pumps in the agricultural sector.

As per the company’s regulatory filing, the scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar water pumping systems. The project is scheduled to be executed within a period of 120 days.

The order is expected to further strengthen the company’s presence in government-led solar irrigation projects and support India’s broader renewable energy and sustainable agriculture goals under the PM-KUSUM framework.
