Shakti Pumps Secures INR 654 Cr Solar Pumps Order from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development
Shakti Pumps has bagged its first Karnataka order under PM KUSUM Component-B, securing an INR 654.03 crore contract from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. to install 16,780 off-grid solar water pumping systems.

Shakti Pumps has announced that it has secured its maiden order from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd., for the installation of 16,780 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) with an aggregate order value of INR 654.03 crore, under component B of the PM KUSUM Scheme.
The order has been awarded under the Karnataka Government's solar agriculture initiative, aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption and enhancing irrigation infrastructure across the state. This maiden order win in Karnataka marks the company's entry in the Southern region, further expanding its reach and opening up new markets, the company stated.
Commenting on the development, Dinesh Patidar, Chairman of Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd., stated, “The order received from the Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. marks another important milestone for Shakti Pumps and reflects the continued trust placed in our capabilities by state agencies. The cumulative orders received recently across various states reaffirm the growing adoption of solar pumping solutions across the country, as well as our ability to effectively address this growing demand.”
The company stated that it has won orders worth about INR 1,900 crore during the last one month in various states, including Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, etc.
