Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has infused INR  3 crore into its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions Ltd., as part of its plan to set up a greenfield high-efficiency Solar DCR cell and Solar PV modules manufacturing facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

The investment will support the establishment of a manufacturing unit with an annual production capacity of 2.20 GW, strengthening the company’s presence in India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.

Shakti Energy Solutions Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. and is currently engaged in the manufacturing of solar structures and solar rooftop solutions. The proposed facility marks the subsidiary’s expansion into the manufacturing of Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) solar cells and solar PV modules.

According to the disclosure, the investment has been made through the issuance of equity shares. Shakti Energy Solutions reported a turnover of INR 216.53 crore in FY25, reflecting steady growth over recent years. The company recorded revenues of INR 139.59 crore in FY24 and INR  99.15 crore in FY23, indicating a consistent expansion in its solar-related business operations.

The move aligns with Shakti Pumps’ broader strategy to expand across the renewable energy value chain and tap into the rising demand for domestically manufactured solar components, driven by policy support and large-scale renewable energy deployment across the country.
