Shakti Pumps secures 6,580 off-grid solar pumps order under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, worth INR 155.24 crore, to be executed within 60 days across Maharashtra.

Shakti Pumps (India) Ltd. has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL) for the supply of 6,580 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across the state.
The order, awarded under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, includes pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities. The total project value stands at approximately INR 155.24 crore, inclusive of GST.
The scope of work covers end-to-end execution, including design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar pumping systems.
The execution timeline for the project is set at 60 days from the issuance of the Work Order or Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The base contract value is INR 142.55 crore, excluding GST. This development strengthens Shakti Pumps’ position in India’s growing solar irrigation segment and aligns with ongoing efforts to promote renewable energy adoption in the agricultural sector.
