Senvion India, under the strategic ownership of Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Ltd. (GREDHCL), the Dubai-based investment arm of Alfanar Group, has joined forces with KP Group, represented by KPI Green Energy Ltd., KP Energy Ltd., and KP Green Engineering Ltd., to jointly develop up to 2,000 MW of wind and wind–solar hybrid projects across multiple Indian states over the next three years.
The framework agreement focuses on a customer-first, turnkey-like approach, integrating project development, turbine supply, erection, and commissioning to streamline execution, reduce hand-offs, and ensure accountability. Under the collaboration, KP Group will lead site identification, development, land acquisition, permits, and approvals, as well as the full Balance of Plant (BoP) scope, including civil works, internal roads, foundations, electrical systems, and grid interconnection approvals. Senvion India will supply wind turbine generators via project-specific supply agreements, while both partners operate independently within their defined roles.
Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder and CMD of KP Group, said, “This partnership with Senvion marks another milestone in KP Group’s journey towards driving India’s renewable transition with speed and scale. By combining our proven project development and execution capabilities with Senvion’s advanced turbine technology, we are poised to accelerate the creation of high-quality, bankable wind and hybrid assets, delivering sustainable value to our stakeholders and contributing meaningfully to the nation’s green energy goals.”
Amit Kansal, CEO and MD of Senvion India, added, “This multi-year framework is about making execution simpler and more predictable. By pairing KP Group’s development and BoP strengths with Senvion’s made-in-India turbine platforms, customers get a seamless, turnkey-like path from planning to generation.”
Jamal Wadi, Chairman of Senvion, said, “This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions. By leveraging complementary strengths, we aim to deliver projects that combine technical excellence with sustainable impact. Partnerships like these are essential to building a resilient clean energy ecosystem, and we look forward to working closely with KPI Energy to create long-term value for all stakeholders.”
