Building on the success of the inaugural REconnect Pune in 2025 and a growing series of successful editions across India – including Delhi, Nagpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Indore and Guwahati – the REconnect Summit returns to Pune for its 2026 edition. This marks the fourth REconnect Summit in Maharashtra, following two editions in Nagpur and the inaugural Pune edition held in September 2025. REconnect Pune 2026 is scheduled for August 19, 2026, at the Conrad Hotel.

Under the theme ‘Powering Maharashtra’s Renewable Future: Advancing Solar, Storage & Sustainable Energy Ecosystems’, the REconnect Summit Pune 2026 will bring together stakeholders across solar EPC, PV manufacturing, energy storage and allied sectors to assess the opportunities and challenges shaping Maharashtra’s clean energy growth.

The full-day summit will convene senior industry leaders, policymakers, experts and technology providers to discuss policy, investment, deployment and technology pathways that can support Maharashtra’s renewable energy ambitions, including its target of 45 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by 2032.

Ram Jogdand, Chairperson – Energy Committee, Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA); Dr. Nilesh Rohankar, Additional Executive Engineer, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (MSEDCL); Kanchan Bhosale, Dy. Executive Engineer, MSEDCL; CA Abhijit Kelkar, Vice President, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC); Vinod S. Sirsat, Ex General Manager – Solar, Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA); and Chetan G. Pathare, I/c Chief General Manager (Business Development – RESCO), Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) will be the Guests of Honour. Through their keynote addresses, the distinguished speakers will offer perspectives on Maharashtra’s renewable energy growth, grid resilience, distributed energy systems, and the emerging role of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in strengthening the state’s power infrastructure.

The summit has garnered support from prominent industry players, including Adani Solar, Deye New Energy, Jio Sparq Microinverters, SolaX Power, Usha Shriram Solar, Solis, Joint Solar, Zuvay Technologies, Tata Power Solaroof, Cosmic PV Power, iTorrent Industries and WAA Cables. Maharashtra Solar Manufacturers’ Association (MASMA) is the industry association partner for the event.

The summit will feature a BESS technical training session and a series of panel discussions, expert presentations, and networking sessions, covering key areas including solar PV manufacturing, regulatory developments, utility-scale solar deployment, C&I and residential rooftop adoption, open-access and captive power procurement, solar-plus-BESS integration, and energy storage deployment.

The discussions during the event will revolve around:
  1. The panel discussion on ‘Maharashtra’s Distributed Energy Revolution: Rooftop Solar, C&I Decarbonisation, Agricultural Solarisation’ will explore the policy, financing, grid-integration and implementation challenges shaping distributed solar deployment, while identifying opportunities to scale decentralised clean energy across Maharashtra’s key demand segments.
  2. Strengthening India’s Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem: Maharashtra’s Role in Building a Self-Reliant Supply Chain will highlight the growing role of Maharashtra as a hub of solar manufacturing and its critical role in achieving India's sustainability goals.
  3. The panel discussion on Powering Maharashtra’s Energy Future: Scaling BESS for a Renewable Grid will emphasise the role of energy storage systems for grid stabilisation, renewable energy integration and co-locating BESS in solar projects, BESS for the C&I segment, and the price and policy aspects of the BESS ecosystem.

Organised by Energetica India Magazine, the summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders and energy experts to examine emerging opportunities across Maharashtra’s renewable energy landscape, with discussions centred on policy, technology, investment and industry collaboration.

The event will provide a platform for meaningful industry dialogue and actionable insights to support the state’s clean energy ambitions and contribute to India’s broader renewable energy transition.
