The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has crossed a major milestone, signing over 60 GW  worth of Power Sale Agreements (PSAs) for renewable energy projects.

This achievement marks a crucial step in India’s march towards a cleaner, greener energy future. A Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, SECI’s PSAs span solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects. These agreements not only ensure long-term power offtake but also provide vital payment security to developers and investors, a key factor in boosting confidence in India’s renewable energy sector.

“The signing of 60 GW worth of PSAs within just fourteen years highlights SECI’s commitment to driving India’s clean energy goals,” said Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Chairman and Managing Director of SECI. “We remain at the forefront of India’s low-carbon transition," he aded.

By locking in these long-term deals, SECI continues to strengthen the renewable energy market, attracting investments and accelerating the flow of capital into India’s growing clean energy economy.

Looking ahead, SECI is gearing up to push boundaries further with a strong focus on energy storage solutions, green hydrogen and green ammonia production, and innovative power supply models. These initiatives are expected to turbocharge India’s renewable energy transition while supporting its global climate commitments.
