SECI Signs MoU with Renewable Energy Agency Puducherry to Solarise Govt Buildings
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has signed an MoU with the Renewable Energy Agency Puducherry to solarise all government buildings in the Union Territory.

Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Renewable Energy Agency Puducherry (REAP) for solarisation of all the government buildings in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
The MoU was signed and exchanged between R. Smitha, Managing Director, REAP and Manas Ranjan Mishra, DGM and HoD – Solar, SECI on behalf of Government of Puducherry and SECI, respectively.
Last month, SECI signed an MoU with Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd. (BSPGCL) to develop large-scale renewable energy projects worth around INR 3,000 crore in Bihar, including 1,000 MWh battery storage, pumped storage, floating solar and solar with BESS.
In June 2025, SECI and MAHAPREIT signed an MoU to jointly develop renewable energy projects in Maharashtra, with SECI leading project development and market access, while MAHAPREIT facilitates land allocation and connectivity infrastructure to serve the growing clean energy demand from commercial and industrial consumers.
In FY25, SECI reported a 16.49 percent increase in revenue in FY25 to INR 15,185.10 crore and a 15.11 percent rise in profit after tax to INR 501.92 crore, enhancing its capacity for continued clean energy delivery.
