Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with eFuels Rotterdam B.V. (Power2X) to advance the supply and offtake of Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO)-compliant green molecules from India to international markets.
The MoU was signed by Akash Tripathi, IAS, Managing Director, SECI, and Neils Van Buuren, Executive Vice President, Power2X, in the presence of Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi; Dr Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India; Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE); Dr Michel Heijdra, Director General for Climate and Energy, Government of the Netherlands; and Ivana Jemelkova, CEO, Hydrogen Council, among other distinguished representatives.
The partnership marks a milestone in strengthening the India–Europe green hydrogen corridor and developing scalable pathways for international trade in green ammonia, green methanol and other renewable fuels.
Last month, SECI and Hintco GmbH agreed on the key terms of a Framework Agreement to prepare, develop and implement a potential bilateral Indo-German H2Global tender for trading Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs).
