SECI Signs MoU with Ministry of Education for Grid Connected Rooftop Solar Projects
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd has recently signed an MoU under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana with the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education for the implementation of Grid Connected Roof Top solar projects.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under PM Surya Ghar Yojana with the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education.
This collaboration aims to implement Grid Connected Roof Top (GCRT) solar energy projects across various educational institutions, including buildings, institutes, colleges, and universities under the Department of Higher Education.
Under this MoU, SECI will be responsible for the installation and management of GCRT solar systems on the rooftops of these educational facilities.
This initiative is designed to promote the use of clean and renewable energy sources, reduce carbon footprints, and help educational institutions reduce their energy costs.
The projects will contribute to the government’s larger objective of increasing the share of solar energy in India’s energy mix, in line with its commitments to sustainable development and climate action.
