Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Power Generation Company (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation (PPCL) to strengthen collaboration in the renewable energy sector and allied areas.

The MoU lays the foundation for a strategic partnership aimed at exploring and implementing renewable energy projects, including solar, energy storage, and emerging clean energy technologies, SECI stated.

Under the agreement, the three entities will jointly work on project conceptualisation and feasibility assessments, provide technical support and knowledge sharing, and identify and develop suitable renewable energy opportunities.

“This association strengthens India’s commitment to a sustainable and reliable energy future and supports the diversification of energy portfolios for IPGCL and PPCL while reinforcing SECI’s role as the nodal agency for renewable energy development in the country,” it said.

SECI, IPGCL, and PPCL will leverage their combined technical and operational expertise to foster innovation and contribute to India’s long-term renewable energy and decarbonisation goals, it said.
