SECI, PTC India Sign MoU to Collaborate on RE Integration, BESS, Power Markets and RE Projects

Solar Energy Corporation of India and PTC India have signed an MoU to collaborate on renewable energy integration, power market operations, battery energy storage systems, and jointly develop large-scale renewable and storage projects.

Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and PTC India have announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a collaborative framework across renewable energy integration, power market operations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), structured power products, and the joint development of large-scale renewable and storage projects.
 
“This strategic collaboration is designed to strengthen the renewable energy ecosystem by enabling seamless grid integration of renewables and storage, enhancing market-based power solutions, and improving overall system flexibility,” SECI stated.
 
The MoU was exchanged by Akash Tripathi, IAS, Managing Director, SECI, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman and Managing Director, PTC India, in the presence of Sanjay Sharma, Director (Solar), SECI; Joshit Ranjan Sikidar, Director (Finance), SECI; Sivakumar V. Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI; and senior officials from both organisations.
 
The agreement was formally signed by Prashant Soni, Deputy General Manager (Project Management), SECI, and Bikram Singh, Executive Director (Marketing), PTC India.
 
Through this collaboration, SECI and PTC India intend to jointly explore innovative power market mechanisms and storage-backed solutions that support grid stability while accelerating the deployment of large-scale renewable and energy storage projects, aligning with India’s long-term clean energy and energy transition goals.
