SECI Partners with MAHAPREIT to Develop Renewable Energy Projects in Maharashtra
Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) and MAHAPREIT have signed an MoU to jointly develop renewable energy projects in Maharashtra, with SECI leading project development and market access, while MAHAPREIT facilitates land allocation and connectivity infrastructure to serve the growing clean energy demand from commercial and industrial consumers.

Under this strategic collaboration, MAHAPREIT will facilitate the identification and allocation of suitable land parcels and provide support in securing connectivity infrastructure for the proposed renewable energy (RE) projects. This partnership will enable SECI to effectively tap into the growing demand for clean energy from Commercial and Industrial (C&I) consumers in the region.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Bipin Shrimali, IAS(R), Managing Director, MAHAPREIT and Sivakumar V Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI, Vijay Kumar Kalam Patil, Director (Operation), MAHAPREIT, and Purushottam Jadhav, Director (SGP), MAHAPREIT. The MoU was signed by Dipak Kokate, Executive Director from Mahapreit and Avnish Parashar, DGM (Business Development) from SECI.
This initiative is part of a broader vision to catalyse India’s energy transition by establishing a strong foothold in the C&I RE market through strategic partnerships and infrastructure-led collaborations.
