SECI, HyperVault AI Data Center Ink MoU for Clean Energy Supply to Data Centres in Telangana
Solar Energy Corporation of India has signed an MoU with HyperVault AI Data Center to explore the development of captive renewable energy projects for supplying power to the latter’s upcoming data centre facilities in Telangana.

Under the MoU, SECI will explore the development of renewable energy projects on a captive basis, including land identification and facilitation of transmission connectivity for power supply to HADL’s upcoming data centre facilities, stated SECI.
The MoU was signed by Sivakumar V. Vepakomma, Director (Power Systems), SECI, and Deepesh Nanda, MD and CEO, HADL, in the presence of Akash Tripathi, IAS, Managing Director, SECI, and senior officials from both organisations.
“The initiative marks the first-ever exclusive renewable energy supply initiative for data centre operations in India, bringing together the country’s growing digital infrastructure and clean energy transition,” SECI stated.
In June 2026, SECI signed its first-ever 700 MW Commercial and Industrial (C&I) renewable energy term sheet with Acme Cleantech Solutions, expanding its clean energy supply portfolio beyond DISCOMs to cater to the C&I market.
In the same month, SECI and MahaGenco Renewable Energy signed an MoU to jointly explore and develop renewable energy and emerging clean energy projects with a potential pipeline of up to 5 GW, spanning FDRE, RTC power, energy storage and green hydrogen technologies.
In April 2026, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) designated SECI as the sole Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA) for the issuance of renewable energy procurement bids as an intermediary procurer.
