The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has extended the deadline for the submission of bids for a 100 MW floating solar project in Jharkhand. The original deadline for bid submissions, which was initially set for October 10, has now been extended to October 31.
In an official notification, SECI announced that bids can be submitted until October 31, and the bids will be opened on the same day.
The project's scope of work encompasses the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 100 MW (AC) floating solar PV project, which includes a 10-year plant operation and maintenance (O&M) component, located at Getalsud Dam in Ranchi.
While SECI did not provide specific reasons for the extension, such adjustments to submission deadlines are common in complex projects and procurement processes, ensuring that potential bidders have sufficient time to prepare and submit their proposals.
SECI, operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, serves as the nodal agency of the central government for auctioning renewable energy projects. This floating solar project in Jharkhand is part of India's ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy capacity, harnessing solar energy in innovative ways to meet the nation's growing energy demands.
