SECI 25kW Green Hydrogen-based Pilot Project at SNM Hospital, Leh, UT of Ladakh
SECI is looking for proposals for a 25kW Green-Hydrogen pilot project at SNM Hospital in Ladhak.
May 11, 2022. By News Bureau
The Indian government wants to make Ladakh the country's first carbon-neutral territory. Ladakh is rich in renewable energy sources such as sun, wind, hydropower, and geothermal, all of which have enormous potential for use.
Ladakh, which is made up of various remote places and isolated hamlets, has relied on diesel to cover its electricity and heating needs, particularly during the winter.
SECI is looking for proposals for a 25kW Green-Hydrogen pilot project at SNM Hospital in Ladhak.
The bidder's objective is to build a 25 kW Green Hydrogen-based project on a "Build-Own-Operate" basis and to offer energy, heat, and oxygen to the SNM Hospital using green hydrogen
The Sonam Norboo Memorial (SNM) Hospital is in Leh, Ladakh's Union Territory. During grid outages, the hospital obtains electricity from the Power Development Department (PDD) of Ladakh and also uses Diesel Generators (DG) for electrical use.
Electric and diesel boilers are used to provide the heating requirements. The project's goal is to install a Green Hydrogen-based system that will meet the hospital's electricity and heating needs, reducing the hospital's reliance on diesel.
Bidders must provide Rs. 6,000 including GST via NEFT/RTGS payment to SECI's account, along with a response to the RfS payable to "Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd" in New Delhi.
Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) Amount of Rs. 1,34,000/- to be submitted in the form of a Bank Guarantee along with the response to RfS.
