SANY Commences Solar-Plus-Storage Project Construction in Romania
SANY has commenced construction of its first grid-connected solar-plus-storage demonstration project in Dobresti, Romania, marking its entry into Europe’s renewable energy market.

As SANY Microgrid’s first large-scale grid-connected solar-plus-storage demonstration project in Europe, the Dobresti project marks a key step in the company’s international expansion in the renewable energy sector, the company stated.
Director of SANY Group, Xiang Wenbo, and Chairman of the Microgrid BU, Guo Ruiguang, attended the groundbreaking ceremony alongside local government representatives and business partners.
At the ceremony, Xiang Wenbo appreciated the local government and partners for their continued support, and conveyed confidence in the project’s successful delivery and long-term development. Local officials emphasised the project’s strategic importance in optimising the regional energy mix, creating employment opportunities, and advancing sustainable economic growth.
SANY Microgrid also presented its integrated energy solutions during the event, highlighting its technological capabilities in renewable energy and energy management.
Moving forward, SANY will leverage this project to further promote the development of clean energy and the electrification of construction equipment in Europe, the company stated.
