Sanjeev Aggarwal Resigns from Azure Power’s Board
Independent solar power producer Azure Power has announced that early stage investor and Board member, Sanjeev Aggarwal of Helion Venture Partners, has resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Directors of Azure Power and all its subsidiaries with effect from October 05, 2020.

Independent solar power producer Azure Power has announced that early stage investor and Board member, Sanjeev Aggarwal of Helion Venture Partners, has resigned from his position as a member of the Board of Directors of Azure Power and all its subsidiaries with effect from October 05, 2020.
The company said that his resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company's operations, policies or practices.
Now, the number of Board members as on date is 9 with majority deemed independent.
Further, the Board of Directors has expressed their great appreciation to Sanjeev Aggarwal for his leadership and invaluable contributions to the company, and for making it a dynamic leader among renewable energy companies in India.
The company is having a pan-India portfolio of 7.1 GW as on June 30, 2020 of which 1.8 GWs is operational, 1.3 GWs are under construction and 4.0 GWs have received a Letter of Award but for which PPAs have yet to be signed.
