Salasar Techno Engineering Completes Electrification of 210-RKM Udaipur–Himmatnagar Rail Corridor
Salasar Techno Engineering demonstrates its integrated EPC capabilities with the completion of the Udaipur–Himmatnagar railway electrification project.

Salasar Techno Engineering, an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company in India’s railway infrastructure sector, has completed the electrification of the 210-RKM (234.99 TKM) Udaipur–Himmatnagar rail corridor, now ready for operation. Awarded by RITES, a Schedule ‘A’ Enterprise of the Government of India, on behalf of the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, North Western Railway, Jaipur, the project carried a contract value of approximately INR 170.17 crore and covered the section from Udaipur City (Excl.) to Himmatnagar (Excl.) in the Ajmer Division.
The scope covered 25 kV OHE electrification, general electrification of Traction Sub-Stations, civil engineering works, track works, and signalling and telecommunication works, executed across multiple sites: Traction Sub-Stations at Dungarpur and Vantada, and nine Sectioning/Sub-Sectioning Post stations at Zawar, Jai Samand, Semari, Rikhab Dev, Bechhiwara, Lusadiya, Shamlaji, Raigadh, and Himmatnagar. At each site, Salasar carried out structure erection, transformer and equipment installation, SCADA integration, earthing and cabling works, and signalling and telecom works.
The corridor was delivered in three phases, each independently verified by the Commissioner of Railway Safety or through RITES inspection. The electrified line supports faster, cleaner train movement between Rajasthan and Gujarat, in line with India’s Net Zero Carbon vision for sustainable rail logistics.
