Sairam Prasad, also designated as one of the Senior Management Professionals (SMPs) of the company, brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
Prasad holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical and Electronics from JNTU College of Engineering, Hyderabad, India. His educational background is complemented by various management development courses, including programs at Harvard Business School, the International School of Business, and the Indian Institute of Management. Before joining Suzlon, he served as an Executive Director (Board Member) at GICL & CTO, IHS Towers, Africa.
In a strategic move, Ishwar Chand Mangal, the existing CEO of SGSL and an SMP of Suzlon Energy Limited, will transition to the role of CEO – New Business.
In addition, he has been appointed as a non-executive director of SGSL, effective from February 1, 2024. Mangal, with over 29 years of professional experience, holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Poona and has a post-graduate qualification in Import-Export Management. His extensive career has been predominantly in the Wind Energy sector with Suzlon Group.
