Ruzo Green Energy to Launch Asia’s Most Advanced Compressed Biogas Plant in Uttar Pradesh

Ruzo Green Energy plans to integrate artificial intelligence into the CBG plant’s operations.

Ruzo Green Energy has announced plans to launch a new compressed biogas (CBG) unit in Uttar Pradesh. The upcoming facility will use Dry Plug Flow technology to process high-solids organic waste, focusing on efficient biogas production with low operational costs.

The company plans to integrate artificial intelligence into the plant’s operations. The AI system will handle areas such as feedstock management, process monitoring, predictive maintenance, and quality control.

Ruzo Green Energy has also entered into a strategic collaboration with the Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology at IIT-BHU, which will support ongoing development in bioenergy and carbon capture technologies. The company has also secured a CBG-offtake confirmation worth 110 Cr+ with a leading oil marketing company.

The plant will use cow dung sourced from local cowsheds as its primary feedstock. In return, 25 percent of the revenue from the sale of organic fertiliser—a byproduct of the biogas process—will be donated back to the cowsheds. This move aims to support rural cattle shelters and promote sustainable livestock management.

Ruzo Green Energy has recently raised INR 2 crore in its first funding round to support the launch and growth of its operations.
