Maharashtra-based rooftop solar EPC company Roofsol Energy has announced the successful signing of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Greenlam Industries Ltd., for a total of 8 MWp across three strategic locations.
While a 4 MWp plant will be set up at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh, two plants with a capacity of 2 MWp each will be set up in Greenlam’s factories in Tindivanam, Tamil Nadu and Nalagrh in Himachal Pradesh.
“The plants will generate annually approximately 12.5 million units of electricity and offset approximately 1 lakh tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions,” said Roofsol Energy.
It further added, “This partnership reflects Greenlam’s commitment to clean energy and Roofsol Energy’s capability to invest and deliver large-scale, multi-location solar projects.”
Last month, Roofsol Energy raised INR 210 crore from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to develop 92.66 MWp of IPP and group captive solar assets across India.
The company also announced the successful commissioning of 14 solar EPC projects with a combined capacity of about 29 MWp across 12 Indian states and 5 industrial sectors.
