Solar EPC company Roofsol Energy has announced the signing of a 17 MWp rooftop solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Foxconn, a leading smartphone manufacturer, for a project in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The project will be implemented under the OPEX/PPA model. The installation will support the decarbonisation of Foxconn's manufacturing operations while expanding the adoption of renewable energy in the industrial sector, stated Roofsol.

The company said the project will be financed through a combination of equity and debt. While Roofsol has provided the equity investment, the debt financing has been extended by Aseem Infrastructure Finance.

“At Roofsol, we believe that the future of manufacturing will be powered by clean energy. In FY 26-27, our target is to invest in 200 MWp of rooftop solar assets through PPAs, out of which 50+ MWp have already been signed and are under execution,” stated the company.

Last month, Roofsol Energy also secured INR 260 crore in funding from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to develop solar IPP projects, including installations for JK Tyre and Industries and an additional 100 MWp of C&I solar capacity across India.
