Solar EPC company Roofsol Energy has announced the commissioning of two rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 6 MWp for Greenlam Industries. This includes a 4 MWp plant at Greenlam’s manufacturing facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, under the OPEX model and another 2 MWp plant in Tamil Nadu.
With this, Greenlam’s total solar capacity with Roofsol Energy has reached 8 MWp, stated the company.
“The 4 MWp installation is expected to offset approximately 4,800 metric tonnes of CO₂ annually, equivalent to planting over 2,00,000 trees every year. Engineered with high-efficiency solar modules and advanced inverter technology, the plant is designed to deliver reliable performance, optimised generation, and long-term energy cost savings,” stated Roofsol.
Earlier this month, Roofsol Energy commissioned a 4 MWp rooftop solar project for Simpolo Vitrified in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, which is expected to offset around 4,800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
It also commissioned an 822 kWp solar project for plastic packaging manufacturer Manjushree Technopack in Khordha, Odisha. “This solar installation will offset ~900 tonnes CO₂ annually, equivalent to planting over 40,000 trees yearly, highlighting clean energy's environmental impact,” stated Roofsol.
The company offers customised solar solutions under both CAPEX and OPEX models. Last month, Roofsol Energy signed a 2 MWp OPEX-based Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Whirlpool India for its Pune facility, targeting annual generation of up to 3.5 million units of green power.
In March 2026, Roofsol Energy signed a 7 MWp solar PPA under the OPEX model with JK Tyre & Industries for its Uttarakhand facility.
In February 2026, the company signed three PPAs with Saibaba Polymer, Virgo Group and EMotorad Electric Cycles to develop 2.95 MW of rooftop solar projects under the OPEX model across Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and Punjab. Roofsol also signed an EPC contract with Metro Decorative in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, to set up a 3.2 MWp rooftop solar project.
In January 2026, it announced the signing of a PPA with integrated metals and mining company Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd. (LMEL), for the supply of 5.5 MWp of clean solar power under the OPEX model.
It also signed a PPA with Ganesh Consumer Products to develop a 2.55 MWp OPEX solar project across Howrah and Islampur in West Bengal, Agra in Uttar Pradesh, and Hyderabad in Telangana. The company also inked a 25-year PPA with Nagarjuna Cement for 10.2 MWp rooftop solar projects across the latter’s integrated cement manufacturing and grinding plants in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Roofsol also announced its partnership with automotive component manufacturer Motherson Group to develop and deploy 12.8 MWp of rooftop and behind-the-meter solar projects across the latter’s manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Puducherry under a mix of OPEX (RESCO) and CAPEX models.
In FY26, the company recorded over 50 percent growth in revenue and more than 75 percent increase in profit. It also expanded its commercial and industrial (C&I) independent power producer (IPP)/OPEX portfolio to about 125 MWp, the company said.
