Roofsol Energy Commissions 26 MWp Rooftop Solar Plant for Sportking in Bathinda, Punjab

Maharashtra-based rooftop solar EPC firm Roofsol Energy has commissioned a 26 MWp behind-the-meter rooftop solar plant at Sportking Ltd. in Bathinda, Punjab.

Maharashtra-based rooftop solar EPC company Roofsol Energy has announced that it has successfully carried out the EPC of a 26 MWp single location behind-the-meter rooftop solar plant at Sportking Ltd., Bathinda, Punjab.

The plant was designed and constructed by Roofsol Energy in three phases over the last 18 months. The project utilizes Trina Solar modules (550 W and 695 W) and Sungrow inverters (125 kW), the company stated.

“The plant is expected to generate approximately 36 GWh of electricity annually and offset around 37,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions,” it said.

Roofsol Energy, is an EPC and Independent Power Producing company investing in RESCO and Group captive projects all over India. “We rank among the top three EPC companies in rooftop and behind-the-meter segments consistently for the last three years,” claimed the company.

In May 2025, the company raised INR 210 crore from Aseem Infrastructure Finance to develop 92.66 MWp of IPP and group captive solar assets across India. The company also announced the successful commissioning of 14 solar EPC projects with a combined capacity of about 29 MWp across 12 Indian states and 5 industrial sectors.
