Amp Energy, a global energy transition and digital infrastructure platform, has announced that its Australia and UK businesses have been acquired by Revera Energy, an independent energy infrastructure platform launched by global investment firm and Amp’s longtime partner, Carlyle.

Dave Rogers, Founder and CEO of Amp Energy said, “This marks an exciting next chapter for two platforms Amp has built from the ground up. We are incredibly proud of the world-class teams we've assembled in both Australia and the UK over the past decade, and we look forward to supporting all our friends at Revera as they continue to grow and scale these exceptional businesses.”

He further added, “This transaction is a testament to the strength of the global Amp platform — the result of years of hard work, thoughtful strategy, and hands-on execution. It was an exceptional joint effort to bring it to completion.”

Amp entered the Australian market in 2017 and has since established a leading platform with operations across South Australia and New South Wales. Its current development pipeline includes more than 750 MW of battery storage, 2.3 GW of solar, and 1.4 GW of wind projects within the National Energy Market, along with the landmark up to 5 GW (1 GW in phase 1) Cape Hardy Green Hydrogen Project in South Australia.

In the UK, Amp hands over a top-tier development team and platform consisting of 1.2 GW of late-stage battery storage projects in Scotland, designed to strengthen grid resiliency and support national decarbonisation goals.

Amp continues to scale its vertically integrated energy transition and digital platforms across North America, Europe, and Japan. “After 16 years of delivering renewable infrastructure at scale — with a 14 GW development track record across four continents — Amp is uniquely positioned to create disruptive value at the intersection of global decarbonisation and the AI revolution,” it said.
