Resonia, a power transmission infrastructure company, has been recognised with the National Project Excellence Award at the IPMA Global Project Profession Forum 2026 for its flagship project, Kishtwar Transmission (KwTL).
The project is a transmission initiative located in the hydro-rich Chenab Valley of Jammu and Kashmir. Developed with an investment of INR 4.07 billion and commissioned in December 2025, it is designed to evacuate up to 3,014 MW of hydropower to India’s National Grid, strengthening the Northern Grid and accelerating renewable energy integration. It comprises a 400/132 kV GIS substation with 400 MVA transformer capacity and 125 MVA reactor capacity, along with associated 400 kV transmission infrastructure, creating a critical pooling and evacuation hub that enhances grid stability and reduces regional transmission constraints.
Commenting on the recognition, Arun Sharma, CEO, Resonia, said, “We are honoured to receive this recognition for Kishtwar Transmission. The project reflects our strong execution capabilities in challenging terrains and our commitment to strengthening grid reliability and advancing India’s clean energy transition.”
The award recognises excellence in project management, innovation and stakeholder engagement. The IPMA Global Project Profession Forum is a global platform that celebrates excellence in project management and honours impactful infrastructure achievements across industries.
