Resonia Ltd. has commissioned two transmission projects in Rajasthan, adding a combined 9 GW of power evacuation capacity to support the integration of renewable energy into the national grid.

The projects, Beawar Transmission Ltd. (BTL) and Fatehgarh III Beawar Transmission Ltd. (F3BTL), form part of the transmission infrastructure connecting Rajasthan’s renewable energy generation hubs with the wider power grid.

BTL, commissioned in September 2025, provides 4.5 GW of evacuation capacity through an 838 cKM, 765 kV double-circuit Fatehgarh-Beawar transmission line and a 3,000 MVA, 765/400 kV air-insulated substation at Beawar. The project also includes two line-in-line-out connections and a ±600 MVAR STATCOM at Fatehgarh III for voltage control and grid stability.

F3BTL, commissioned in March 2026, provides another 4.5 GW of evacuation capacity. Its infrastructure includes a 635 cKM, 765 kV double-circuit Fatehgarh III-Beawar transmission line and two 765 kV line bays at Fatehgarh.

Both projects traverse Rajasthan’s desert terrain, covering areas including Jaisalmer, Barmer, Balotra, Jodhpur Gramin, Pali and Beawar, with the F3BTL corridor also extending through Ajmer.

Resonia CEO Prashant Sinha said that the projects would support efficient renewable power evacuation from Rajasthan, an emerging renewable energy generation hub. The company used drone-based conductor stringing technology, crane-assisted tower erection and route optimisation to improve construction efficiency and reduce environmental disruption.
