RenewSys India, an integrated manufacturer of solar PV modules and their key components – encapsulants, backsheets, and solar PV cells, has unveiled its latest innovation, the DCR M10R solar cells, at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2025 in Greater Noida.
The launch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shailendra Prajapati, Founder and Managing Director of Whole Solar.
The newly launched M10R solar cells represent a significant leap in India’s solar manufacturing capability, the company said in a statement.
Developed under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) framework, these cells are engineered for superior efficiency, reliability, and performance across diverse climatic conditions. They empower Indian module manufacturers to produce world-class, high-output solar modules, strengthening India’s position as a global hub for quality solar solutions in both domestic and international markets, the company stated.
Shailendra Prajapati, Founder and MD of Whole Solar, remarked, “It’s an honour to be part of this important moment for India’s solar manufacturing sector. RenewSys’ new DCR M10R Cells will strengthen the domestic supply chain and help accelerate India’s transition to clean energy.”
Speaking at the launch, Avinash Hiranandani, VC and MD, RenewSys India, said, “The DCR M10R TOPCon Cell launch marks another milestone in our mission to make India self-reliant in solar technology. With this, RenewSys continues to push the boundaries of performance and sustainability, supporting India’s renewable energy goals.”
These new cells are being manufactured at RenewSys’ state-of-the-art facility in Hyderabad, with plans underway to scale up production capacity in response to the rising demand for DCR-compliant solar components, the company said.
