ReNew Energy Global plc has announced the sale of its 100 MW/117.5 MWp solar project in Tamil Nadu to Technique Solaire Group at an enterprise value of approximately USD 49 million.

The definitive agreement was signed between ReNew Solar Power Pvt. Ltd. and JLT Energy 9, the India-focused investment arm of JLT Invest, France. The transaction is expected to close subject to customary conditions and is likely to generate around USD 24 million in cash inflow for ReNew.

The project, operated under ReNew Solar Energy (Rajasthan) Pvt. Ltd., was commissioned in September 2019 and has been operational for over six years. It has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Ltd. at a fixed tariff of USD 3.47 per unit.

Notably, the plant delivered a net plant load factor (PLF) of 18.55 percent in FY 2024–25. This is ReNew’s only commissioned asset in Tamil Nadu, making the divestment part of a broader portfolio optimisation strategy.
