REnergy Dynamics, GMM Pfaudler Partner to Manufacture Paddle Agitators for India’s CBG Sector

REnergy Dynamics (RED) has entered into a strategic alliance with global technology leader GMM Pfaudler to locally manufacture paddle agitators under the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

The collaboration has already kicked off commercial production at a state-of-the-art facility in Gujarat, making RED-GMM among the first to supply critical paddle agitators for India’s Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plants. These agitators are operational at marquee projects, including Reliance Industries’ CBG plant executed by RED, serving as a flagship reference.

With nearly 1,000 CBG plants expected to come online over the next three years, the paddle agitator market in the sector is projected to reach INR 7,500 crore.

Kushagra Nandan, Chairman and MD of RED, said the partnership marks the company’s entry into manufacturing and marketing of paddle agitators, essential for India’s CBG industry. “GMM Pfaudler’s global expertise makes them the ideal partner for this venture,” he added.

RED CEO Varun Karad highlighted the importance of local manufacturing in reducing import dependence while offering world-class technology at competitive costs. “This step strengthens India’s self-reliance in the CBG value chain,” he said.

GMM Pfaudler CEO Aseem Joshi noted, “RED’s vision combined with our global mixing technology expertise creates a strong foundation for scalable solutions.” Devang Bhojani, GM of GMM Pfaudler, added that custom agitators adapted to Indian feedstock will be critical as the sector grows.

GMM Pfaudler agitators are already in use at the Assam Bio Refinery’s bamboo-based 2G ethanol facility, underscoring their proven track record. The RED-GMM alliance reaffirms the commitment to delivering technology, quality, and affordability to India’s expanding CBG industry.
