REIL Invites Bids for 1 MWp Rooftop Solar Projects on Government Buildings Across Western India

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd. has issued a rate contract tender for the installation and commissioning of 1 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across multiple government buildings in western region of India. Bid submission ends on May 17, 2025.

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Ltd. has floated a rate contract tender for survey, design, supply (except SPV module), erection, testing and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects of cumulative capacity of 1 MWp on various government buildings across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Maharashtra, Goa and Chhattisgarh.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, testing at manufacture’s work, supply including transportation and insurance, unloading, storage, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar plants.

The approximate value of the tender is INR 2.5 crore. The bidders need to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years.

Bidders need to pay INR 1,000 as a tender document fee. Further, they need to furnish INR 5 lakh as an earnest money deposit (EMD).

The last date for submission of bids is May 17, 2025. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 19, 2025.

The SPV power plant capacity on one building will be in the range of 10 kWp to 1000 kWp.

The work will be splited to L-1 and L-2 bidders in the ratio of 70 percent and 30 percent at L-1 rate.

The maximum ceiling limit for the bid is INR 25,000/kWp.

The bidders must have experience of having successfully completed design, supply, installation and commissioning of grid-connected solar power plants in government buildings during the last 7 years.

For three similar works, the cost of each work must not be less than the amount equal to 40 percent of the estimated cost. For two similar completed works, the cost of each work must not be less than the amount equal to 50 percent of the estimated cost. For one similar completed work, the costing must not be less than the amount equal to 80 percent of the estimated cost.

Out of above, bidder has to submit satisfactory O&M report of minimum one year for at least one completed work.

The bidder’s average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years must be at least 30 percent of the estimated cost. The bidder must have positive net worth as on March 31, 2024.
