RECPDCL Hands Over SPV for INR 912 Crore Jalna Transmission Project to MSETCL
REC Power Development and Consultancy has handed over Jalna Power Transmission SPV to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company for implementing an INR 912 crore intra-state transmission project comprising a 400/132 kV substation and around 135 km of transmission lines in Maharashtra.

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC, has announced that the company has handed over Jalna Power Transmission (SPV) to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company (MSETCL).
Awarded through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, the INR 912 crore intra-state transmission (InSTS) project in Maharashtra will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis and includes a new 400/132 kV substation at Jalna and ~135 km of 132 kV transmission lines. The project is targeted for completion within 24 months, stated RECPDCL.
The SPV was handed over by Ratnesh Kumar, General Manager (Engg), RECPDCL, to Vineeta Shriwani, Company Secretary, MSETCL and Amit Naik, Chief Engineer (TBCB), MSETCL, in the presence of senior officials from MSETCL, Maharashtra STU and RECPDCL.
Earlier this month, RECPDCL handed over the Mekhali Power Transmission SPV to Dilip Buildcon for developing Karnataka’s intra-state transmission project under the TBCB route on a BOOT basis. It also handed over the Hampapura Power Transmission SPV to Resonia for the development of the Karnataka intra-state transmission project under the TBCB route on a BOOT basis.
