RECPDCL Hands Over Karnataka Transmission Project SPV to Resonia
REC Power Development and Consultancy has handed over the Hampapura Power Transmission SPV to Resonia for the development of the Karnataka intra-state transmission project under the TBCB route on a BOOT basis.

REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Ltd., has announced that the company has handed over a project specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of InSTS Transmission Project of Karnataka under the TBCB route viz, Hampapura Power Transmission to Resonia.
Resonia emerged as the successful bidder through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) conducted by RECPDCL, the Bid Process Coordinator, for the development of the transmission project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
The SPV was handed over by Monisha Barua, GM & HoD, RECPDCL, to Tushar Chhabra, Head (Business Acquisition), Resonia, in the presence of the Managing Director, KPTCL, Senior Officials of RECPDCL and Officials of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation. The implementation period of the project is 24 months.
The scheme broadly covers the establishment of 400/220/33 kV GIS sub-station at Hampapura, 400 kV Double Circuit line of around 299 km from Jagalur to Kadakola, 220 kV Double Circuit line of around 125 km from Hampapura to Nagamangala, Maddur, Tubinakere and Huygonahalli and LILO of 400kV DC Quad moose line from Jagalur-Kadakola to the proposed 765/400kV CN’Halli Station, along with other associated works.
