Building on the success of the inaugural REconnect Nagpur in 2024 and subsequent successful editions held across India, including Delhi, Jaipur, Pune, Lucknow, and Coimbatore, the REconnect Summit returns to Nagpur. The Summit is scheduled to be held on January 9, 2026, at the Regenta Central Hotel and Convention Centre.
Under the theme of ‘Building India’s Energy Future: Maharashtra’s Rise as a Solar and Storage Powerhouse’, the REconnect Summit Nagpur will highlight the state’s accelerating clean energy momentum, convening a cross-section of stakeholders from solar EPCs (C&I and residential), solar PV manufacturers, and the energy storage ecosystem to shape the next phase of Maharashtra’s green growth.
Designed as a full-day, high-impact forum, the summit will bring together senior leaders, policymakers, experts, and innovators to examine pathways for the state’s renewable energy transition as it advances toward its target of 38 GW of installed RE capacity by 2030.
CA. Abhijit Kelkar, Vice President, Maharashtra Economic Development Council (MEDC) and Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Singh, Chief – Energy Security, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), will be the Guests of Honour. Through their keynote addresses, they will underscore the critical role of renewable energy expansion and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in building a resilient and secure power grid.
The summit has garnered support from prominent industry players, including Icon Solar, Adani Solar, Luminous Power Technologies, ECE India Energies, Novasys Greenergy, Anand E-Beam Cables, Gautam Solar, Aatmanirbhar Solar, Cosmic PV Power, Solitech Solar, Greenedge Energy, SolarYaan, Tata Power Solaroof and True Power Ltd. All India Renewable Energy Association (AIREA) and Pan India Solar Sector Association (PISSA) are the industry association partners for the event.
Anchored by high-level panel discussions, expert-led sessions, and focused networking, the REconnect Nagpur 2026 will address critical themes such as solarising agriculture and feeder-level solarisation, the growth of solar PV manufacturing, evolving regulatory frameworks, utility-scale solar expansion, scaling C&I and residential rooftop adoption, open access and captive procurement models, BESS co-location, Maharashtra’s energy storage roadmap, and the rapidly maturing EV ecosystem.
The discussions during the event will revolve around:

The discussions during the event will revolve around:
- Solarising India’s Fields: Farmers, Installers & the PM-KUSUM Revolution: Despite strong governmental and policy support, the pace of installations under the PM-KUSUM has been rather slow. Panellists will look to dissect challenges, pain points, and suggest probable solutions.
- Building a Global-Scale, Self-Reliant Solar Manufacturing Base: A look at the state’s emergence as a solar manufacturing hub and its role in advancing national sustainability goals.
- C&I and Residential Solar: Accelerating Maharashtra’s Distributed Renewable Growth: An in-depth examination of strategies to drive adoption across commercial, industrial, and residential segments.
- Storage-Backed Clean Mobility and Grid Stability: A focused discussion on grid stabilisation through energy storage, BESS co-location opportunities, the integration of EVs with solar charging infrastructure, and the policy frameworks enabling clean mobility.
Organised by Energetica India Magazine, the REconnect Summit Nagpur will bring together government representatives, industry leaders, and global experts to spotlight innovation, investment opportunities, and collaborative pathways, reinforcing Maharashtra’s position as a key centre for renewable energy dialogue and development in India.
Stay tuned for more updates as the summit unfolds, marking another significant stride toward India’s renewable energy ambitions.
