Rays Power Infra Secures INR 1,912-Cr, 300 MW RE Order from Maharatna PSU

Rays Power Infra Ltd. has secured a 300 MW renewable energy project from one of India’s Maharatna public sector undertakings.This project will add INR 1,912 crore to the company’s existing order book, which exceeds INR 8,000 crore.

The project will be developed under Rays Power’s Co-Development Business Model and will involve land acquisition, interstate transmission system (ISTS) connectivity, and complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution. The renewable energy project will be set up in one of the company’s upcoming renewable energy parks in Karnataka and is targeted for commissioning within the next three years.

Solar modules for the project will be manufactured using cells from Rays Power’s upcoming cell manufacturing facility under its subsidiary, Rays Green Energy, currently under construction in Madhya Pradesh.

Commenting on the development, Ketan Mehta, Managing Director, Rays Power Infra, said that the project demonstrates how renewable developers and central PSUs can collaborate to deliver large-scale projects efficiently. He added that the company remains focused on building future-ready infrastructure to support India’s renewable energy transition.

Pawan Sharma, Whole-Time Director, Rays Power Infra, said that the project highlights the company’s integrated capabilities across project development, engineering, and execution. He noted that the deployment of DCR-compliant modules and end-to-end execution is expected to set new benchmarks in reliability, performance, and timely commissioning.

Rays Power Infra has a diversified renewable energy portfolio of approximately 11,665 MWp across solar, wind, and hybrid projects. As of July 31, 2025, the company has a commissioned capacity of around 1,771 MWp, with projects spread across 13 states and one union territory.
