Raymond wins National Energy Conservation award 2013

Awarded for energy conservation program undertaken by its state of the art Vapi manufacturing plant in Gujarat

Raymond Limited - the leading manufacturer, marketer and retailer of worsted suiting fabrics over the last eight decades was awarded the 2nd Prize in the prestigious National Energy Conservation Awards 2013. Raymond was awarded this feat for an energy conservation program undertaken by its state of the art Vapi manufacturing plant in Gujarat. The award was presented by the Hon’ble President of India – Mr. Pranab Mukherjee to Raymond Limited in the presence of Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of State for the Ministry of Power.  

Raymond won this award by reducing its ‘specific consumption’ of Electrical Energy and Thermal Energy as compared to last year by 6.74% and 7.74% respectively. The Raymond Vapi manufacturing plant achieved a commendable feat of saving of 30.23 lakh units of Electrical energy and 5649.10 Million Kcal of Thermal Energy in the last one year.

Raymond has received this prestigious award six times in the past decade for their other manufacturing facilities located at Chhindwara – Madhya Pradesh, Jalgaon – Maharashtra and Thane.
