RattanIndia receives prestigious 9th ENERTIA Awards 2015

RattanIndia Power Ltd has announced that it has been awarded with “Power Awards- Thermal & Conventional Energy – Private Sector” at 9^th ENERTIA Awards 2015 held yesterday at The Metropolitan Hotel, New Delhi. Mr Rajiv Rattan, Chairman- RattanIndia Group received the award from Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, Chief Minister-Haryana who was the chief guest at the award night.

The award is recognition of RattanIndia Power as one of the largest private players in development of power plants in the country and has successfully commissioned 1620 MW of capacity in Maharashtra across its Amravati and Nashik Coal based thermal power plants. The company had created a national record by commissioning 3 units in its Amravati Power plant, having an aggregate capacity of 810 MW, within a short span of 39 days in March 2015.   

“It gives us immense pleasure to receive such an honor from ENERTIA and the eminent jury. The award is recognition of our continuous efforts to contribute towards the government’s mission to double the current production capacity by 2020 to provide 24x7 electricity for residential, industrial, commercial and agriculture use.” said Mr. Rajiv Rattan, Chairman, RattanIndia Group on receiving the award.

ENERTIA awards attract India’s topmost Power and Energy companies and are benchmark awards for excellence in the sector. These Awards are given to both Public and Private Sector Enterprises in the Power and Energy Sector. Special focus is on key areas like Thermal Power, Hydel-power, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, De-Centralized and Distributed Power, Manufacturing, Technology & Enterprise Innovation, Individual Excellence etc.

Eminent jury panel included names top leaders in power industries including K. Ravikumar, Former CMD-BHEL, Yogendra Prasad, Former CMD- NHPC along with Prof. A.G.Iyer, President ENTERIA Foundation, among others.
