Rajesh Power Services has secured new orders worth INR 211.68 crore, including taxes, from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation (OPTCL) for a transmission infrastructure project in the eastern Indian state of Odisha.
The contract marks the company's entry into Odisha and is among the largest transmission-sector orders secured by the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.
The project involves the construction of a 220 kV underground transmission cable linking the Grid Substation (GSS) at Mendhasal with the Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Chandaka B. The scope of work also includes the extension of the Air Insulated Substation (AIS) bay at Mendhasal and the GIS bay at Chandaka B.
Rajesh Power currently executes transmission and distribution projects across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
"The award of these orders from OPTCL marks an important milestone for Rajesh Power as we expand our presence into Odisha. It reflects the confidence that utilities place in our execution capabilities and technical expertise in the transmission and distribution sector. We look forward to partnering with OPTCL in strengthening the state's power transmission infrastructure and delivering the project to the highest standards of quality and reliability," said Kurang Panchal, Managing Director of Rajesh Power Services.
The company provides EPC services for power transmission and distribution projects, with expertise in extra-high-voltage transmission systems, substations and underground cabling infrastructure.
The latest order is expected to strengthen Rajesh Power's presence in India's transmission sector as utilities continue to invest in grid expansion and modernisation to support rising electricity demand and renewable energy integration.
