Purvah Green Power, a subsidiary of CESC and part of RPSG Group, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for a 175 MW Wind Power Project.
The company secured the capacity in SECI’s auction for setting up 2,000 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects in India on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis, held in July 2026. Purvah Green quoted a tariff of INR 3.85/kWh.
“This achievement further strengthens Purvah Green’s growing renewable energy portfolio and reinforces our commitment to developing large-scale, cost-competitive and sustainable clean energy solutions for India,” stated Purvah Green.
The tender was floated in April 2026. Initially, SECI issued the tender for 1,200 MW, which was later enhanced to 2,000 MW. A total of 12 developers have emerged as winners, securing a total of 1,495 MW out of the available 2,000 MW.
Identification of land, installation and ownership of the project, along with obtaining connectivity and necessary approvals and interconnection with the ISTS network/STU or InSTS network (as applicable) for supply of power to SECI, will be under the scope of the WPD.
Only type-certified wind turbine models listed in ALMM (Wind) will be allowed to be deployed. WPD must install and maintain a GPS-enabled Automatic Weather Station (AWS).
Last month, Purvah Green signed its first commercial and industrial (C&I) power supply agreement with building materials manufacturer Prism Johnson. As part of the agreement, the company will set up a 49.5 MW captive wind power project in Tehsil Alot, District Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, and will supply dedicated renewable power to Prism Johnson's cement plant in Satna, Madhya Pradesh.
Purvah's pipeline to date has been built around utility offtake, including capacity earmarked for CESC's own distribution business. Following its August 2026 agreement to acquire a 1.4 GWp operating solar portfolio from ReNew Solar Power for an enterprise value of INR 4,859 crore, Purvah's contracted capacity stands at 4.8 GWp, of which 1.8 GWp is operational, with a further 2.2 GWh of battery storage under implementation.
