Purvah Green Power, a subsidiary of CESC, has announced that the company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the development of a 250 MW ISTS-connected wind power project.
The company secured the capacity, at a tariff of INR 3.69/kWh, pursuant to tariff-based competitive bidding conducted by SECI, earlier this month, to set up 1,200 MW of wind power projects across India under Tranche XIX.
“This milestone reinforces the continued momentum of wind energy in India's renewable transition and reflects the strength of disciplined bidding, robust resource assessment, and execution capability in a competitive market environment,” the company stated.
It further added that the project is scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months from PPA signing.
In November 2025, the company received a Government Order from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for a 349.8 MW wind project, paving the way for an investment of INR 3,286 crore in cutting-edge renewable energy projects
In October 2025, the company won 300 MW at a tariff of INR 2.86/kWh in Solar Energy Corporation of India's (SECI) auction for setting up 2,000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV projects with 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
The company also signed an MoU with the Rajasthan government for developing 2,100 MW of solar and wind projects.
In an investor update, CESC stated that through its renewable subsidiary, Purvah Green Power is currently executing 3.2 GW of hybrid solar and wind projects slated for completion by FY29. Phase two of the initiative will take this capacity to 10 GW, positioning CESC as a major player in the green energy transition, it said.
