Prostarm Info Systems Signs MOU With Shenzhen Topband for BESS Manufacturing in India
Prostarm Info Systems Ltd. will assemble Topband-supplied battery storage kits in India, committing USD 10 million purchases over 18 months for commercial, residential and utility-scale projects.

Prostarm Info Systems Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shenzhen Topband Co. Ltd to explore a strategic partnership for manufacturing battery energy storage systems (BESS) in India under a semi-knocked down (SKD) model.
The agreement, approved by Prostarm’s board will see Topband supply SKD BESS kits, technology and technical know-how, while Prostarm will handle local assembly, integration and commercialization in India. The products will target commercial and industrial users, home and commercial BESS applications, and utility-scale energy storage projects.
Under the proposed arrangement, BESS products may be marketed under a joint 'Prostarm × Topband', brand, a dual-logo format, or the Prostarm brand, depending on project requirements.
As part of the MOU, Prostarm has committed to a minimum purchase of USD 10 million worth of products from Topband over 18 months from the date of the first commercial order, subject to mutually agreed delivery and assembly schedules.
The companies said that the collaboration is aligned with the Government of India’s 'Make in India' initiative and is aimed at increasing domestic value addition in the energy storage sector. Prostarm said that the partnership is expected to provide access to advanced BESS technology, strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and support participation in large-scale storage projects across India.
Prostarm reported turnover of INR 278.63 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2025, while Topband reported turnover of CNY 11.08 billion for the year ended December 31, 2025.
