Premier Solar commissions a Solar Diesel Hybrid Plant in East Africa

The plant obviates the need for a grid & ensures 24x7 supply of power to regions with no grid availability

Pioneering India’s efforts to deliver solar power to gird deficient regions, Premier Solar has recently commissioned a unique solar plant in East Africa. This plant is a Solar-Diesel-Hybrid Plant which is one-its kind design in the world. It is a well known fact that Solar plants are grid dependent. This plant obviates the need for a grid and ensures 24x7 supply of power to regions which do not have any grid availability. Such plants are most suited for island territories and areas where the expense to create grid infrastructure is prohibitive.

Speaking at a ceremony, Mr Chiranjeev Saluja, the Managing Director mentioned that it was Premier Solar’s dream to deliver electricity to every village in the world. Working towards this cause is adequate motivation for us and our relentless efforts in this direction have begun to show fruit. The electricity so produced by this unique plant is being utilized by under-developed regions in Africa.
