Premier Energies has clinched a significant contract for the supply of 608 MW bifacial solar PV modules from NTPC Ltd. The contract stipulates the delivery of domestically produced PV modules, compliant with the domestic content requirement (DCR), for NTPC's Nokh Solar PV Project situated in Rajasthan.

The substantial order awarded to Premier Energies is valued at approximately INR 1,700 crores, with the completion of module supply anticipated within nine months.

Premier Energies operates its cutting-edge 40-acre facility in Hyderabad, where it manufactures bifacial PV modules. The facility, equipped with an annual production capacity of 2 GW of solar cells and 4 GW of solar modules, also has an additional 1.6 GW under construction.

Notably, the facility features an automated mono PERC manufacturing line capable of handling larger-sized cells such as M10, M12, and multi-busbar cells.

This strategic partnership between Premier Energies and NTPC not only reinforces the growth of the solar energy sector but also underscores the commitment to utilizing domestically manufactured components, aligning with India's push for self-reliance in the renewable energy domain.
