Premier Energies’ Board Approves 800 MW Cell Line and 1.6 GW Module Line Expansion

Premier Energies has approved the setup of an 800 MW TOPCon cell facility in Andhra Pradesh and a 1.6 GW TOPCon module facility in Telangana, with a combined investment of about INR 474.75 crore.

Solar Cell and modules manufacturer Premier Energies has announced that the company’s Board of Directors have approved the establishment of an 800 MW TOPCon cell manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh and a 1.6 GW TOPCon module manufacturing facility in Telangana.

The proposed line for the cell facility would be set up at APIIC, Naidupeta Industrial Area, Andhra Pradesh on premises owned by Premier Energies Global Environment. In cell manufacturing, the company has an existing capacity of 2 GW out of which 1.61 GW was being utilised as of Q4, 2025, the company stated in a regulatory filing.

It further added that 5.57 GW of cell capacity is under construction. The proposed incremental addition of 800 MW is expected to be commissioned by September 2026 with an approximate investment of INR 349.75 crore.

In modules, the company has an existing capacity of 5.1 GW out of which 2.43 GW is being utilised as of Q4 2025. Further, 4.4 GW of module capacity is under construction.

This proposed 1.6 GW module line will be set up at Sitarampur Industrial Park in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana on premises owned by Premier Energies Global Environment. The line is expected to be commissioned by March 2026 and would involve investment of INR 125 crore.
