PPC Renewables Tenders for 39MW, 11MW Solar Projects in Greece
PPC Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Greek power utility PPC (Public Power Corporation), has recently floated a tender to develop two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects aggregating 50 MW, including 39 MW and 11MW, of capacity in Megalopolis municipality of Southern Greece.

PPC Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Greek power utility PPC (Public Power Corporation), has recently floated a tender to develop two solar photovoltaic (PV) projects aggregating 50 MW, including 39 MW and 11MW, of capacity in Megalopolis municipality of Southern Greece.
The last date for submitting bids is September 30, 2020 and the winner will be selected on the basis of the lowest bid received. The project is expected to cost approximately USD 36 million and will be developed at ‘Large Lakkes’ of the municipality of Megalopolis.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, transportation, supply and installation of 50 MW of capacity with a 33KV / 150kV substation of outdoor type.
The contracting entities for the projects were ARKADIKOS HELIOS ONE SA and ARKADIKOS ILIOS TWO SA, subsidiaries of PPC Renewables. Interested bidders can contact at the ‘Procurement and Contracts Department’ of PPC Renewables SA.
Besides, the total budget for the projects were fixed at approx € 30,725,000.00 excluding VAT. In the total budget a fixed amount of € 371,750.00 has also been included to cover unforeseen needs.
For the eligibility criterion, the participant of the competitive bidding requires prior experience for carrying out at least one 30 MW of solar project in last 10 FYs for 39 Mw of the project. On the other hand, applicants for 11MW project must have carried out at least one 4MW of solar project in last 10 FYs.
