Powertrac Group, Sarvaiya Group Sign Agreement for 100 MW Distributed Solar Projects

Powertrac Group has signed an agreement with Sarvaiya Group to develop 100 MW of distributed solar projects for its IPP portfolio, with the projects planned to supply renewable power to Gujarat DISCOMs under PPAs.

Gujarat-based renewable energy IPP and EPC player Powertrac Group has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Sarvaiya Group to develop 100 MW of distributed solar projects as part of an independent power producer (IPP) portfolio

Under the agreement, Powertrac Group will undertake the projects on a turnkey basis, covering the entire development cycle from grid connectivity and commissioning to land procurement and transmission line laying. The scope will also include detailed project report (DPR) preparation, financial closure support, turnkey EPC execution and operations and maintenance (O&M), the company stated.

The projects are planned to supply renewable power to Gujarat DISCOMs under power purchase agreements (PPAs), adding to the group's distributed solar portfolio in the state.

The agreement follows Powertrac Group's recent repeat order from Dhanraj Sugar for 40 MW of feeder-level solarisation (FLS) projects. The order came after the successful commissioning of 8 MW under the Distributed Renewable Energy-Based Feeder-Level Solarisation (DREBP-FLS) scheme.

The 40 MW projects will supply renewable electricity to Gujarat DISCOMs under PPAs at a tariff of INR 2.76/kWh. The projects are being developed under the Gujarat State Distributed Renewable Energy Policy and will deploy domestically manufactured DCR-compliant solar PV modules, the company stated.

Recently, Powertrac has also acquired more than 600 acres of land, representing around 50 percent of the land requirement, for its 480 MW distributed RE feeder-level solarisation projects under signed PPAs with Gujarat State DISCOMs. The company has completed revenue department due diligence for the acquired land, it said.

Powertrac Group has set a target of developing 1,000 MW of operational IPP renewable energy projects by 2030.

Last month, the company broke ground for its upcoming 10 GWh automated BESS container production line with Cell-to-Pack (CTP) and Pack-to-Container technologies to serve the commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale energy storage markets.
