Jio Things Ltd. has signed a strategic agreement with Gujarat-based Powertrac Group for the Pan-India distribution and deployment of Jio Sparq Microinverters, covering an overall project size of more than 500 MW.

Under the partnership, Powertrac Group will serve as the master distributor for Jio Sparq Microinverters across India, supporting nationwide distribution, faster deliveries and local customer service. The collaboration is aimed at accelerating the adoption of microinverter technology across residential, commercial and industrial rooftop solar applications.

As part of the partnership agreement, Powertrac Group, with over 18 years of industry experience, will lead the pan-India distribution network and provide local support, with the companies targeting wider deployment of high-efficiency and scalable microinverter-based solar systems. The collaboration is also aligned with the country’s growing rooftop solar market and the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

Jio Sparq Microinverters feature module-level power optimisation and independent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for up to four PV panels through four individual DC input channels. The technology is designed to maximise energy generation while enabling real-time digital monitoring and improved system safety in both grid-connected and standby operating modes.

It offers panel-level MPPT, dual-mode On-Grid and Off-Grid operation and AI-powered cloud monitoring for Residential, Commercial and Industrial rooftops and EPC deployments. With up to 2,000W AC output and 720 WP DC input per channel, it is designed for systems ranging from 2 kW to 500 kW. Its all-AC architecture eliminates complex string sizing and high-voltage DC wiring, while modular installation and independent panel operation simplify deployment, improve safety and reduce the impact of individual unit failures. The system also enables real-time panel-level monitoring through the JioThings cloud platform, built-in eSIM LTE connectivity and integration with SCADA systems.

Jio Sparq Microinverters also feature ZigBee-based M2M Communication Device, making them compliant with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s directive that mandated all inverter communication devices/dongles/data loggers to be deployed under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana to have Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SIM communication protocol to enable secure and reliable data transmission.

“This powerhouse collaboration combines Jio Things’ cutting-edge, intelligent IoT and smart solar solutions with Powertrac Group’s highly reliable distribution footprint across India. Together, we are set to redefine energy efficiency, giving residential and commercial consumers nationwide easier access to high-performance, intelligent solar technology,” stated Powertrac Group.
